"Design must seduce, shape, and perhaps most importantly, evoke an emotional response"
A graduate of George Mason University with a BA in Psychology, Kati realized the psychological power of a beautiful comforting interior and how design can affect our emotions and transform our use and enjoyment of spaces. This appreciation and passion for design led Kati to launch KCI in 2017 bringing sophisticated & distinctive design to the Washington DC Metro Area. For Kati, its all about serving her clients at the highest level of excellence and ensuring that she achieves their version of luxury living.
Kati splits her time between her corporate career as a project coordinator and pursuing her entrepreneurial endeavors. She enhanced her design knowledge by completing a few semesters in an interior design program which allowed her to learn the basics and key elements of design. Through continuing education she is pursuing a professional certification in interior decorating and home organization.
Blessed with the opportunity to serve her community through the powerful healer that is design, Kati is Chief Operating Officer and Designer for The Oasis Alliance, an initiative which aids in designing inspiring healing spaces for individuals or families who have experienced trauma.
Kati resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and encourager, Tommy, and their two amazing children Leilani and Liam.
I believe that our personal living spaces, carry a powerful affect on our mind, body and spirit. A home should be well balanced, organized and beautiful, translating into a positive balance in other aspects of life. I believe comfort and function should take lead but style shouldn’t fall short of the vision, after all a room isn't complete until its filled with things that are personal and completely you!
